I just finished a play at a Christian theater in my home town on Sunday (04/27). Stumbling into Grace. I was sooooo sad at the end that I had to sit in my dressing room alone for much of the afternoon. At the end of the performance I went in there to…just…. well….. ok I cried I am not ashamed to say that I shed a tear….
I don’t know why I cried though… was it the end of a play alone or something more…
Later that evening I was at Red Lobster with My whole family for my father-in-laws birthday and I just kept thinking about the end of the play as if I had lost my new puppy???? What the heck is going on with me… My wise and much smarter friend Steve told me that he feels that way whenever he meets new friends and has to leave them…. No that’s not it… is it…
My rules to identify a friend:
#1 The most important thing to me is laughter… Do these new “friends” make me laugh at myself and at other stupid things…. CHECK… I laughed more about silly things then I have in a long time… Most of the stuff I laughed about would make no sense to anyone but us… just ask pomegranate, Sueeeeeee orPerfectionist little Susan
#2 Honor… I know that sounds strange but I want friends you have honor when it counts.. respect is a great thing. To respect others and honor a belief is a fading trate…. CHECK again… these people had an honor for others but most importantly an honor for the Lord that was shinning out of every part of their being.
#3 Trust … not just a trust that someone won’t steal from you …. I am talking about a trust that your feelings will not get tossed into the blender of life and transformed into goo that can only be referred to as YUCK..!!!! This one is harder to identify because people make mistakes and sometimes hurt… but this group would never hurt intentionally… TRIPLE CHECK.
Well once again my wise friend the Owl (aka Steve) was right I found new and wonderful friends. Friends I hope I never lose and I can prove that I have some good traits to pass along as well and keep them… I am a little bitter they made my cry but I can’t be mad unless that point and stare and call me a big baby or something… but you know what I bet even that would make me laugh… JERKS
I love you all and Miss you so much already… :(

Hey, Rob! Maybe a Java Monster will help you get over the depression. O:-)
I had one today... DUDE... I could not shut my eyes for three hours...!!!!!! It was crazy...!!!!! you know you have problems when the dudes at the truck stop laugh at you when you buy one..!!!!! LOL... PS my hand still hurts...LOL
LOL! Yeah, there's a warning on the can not to drink more than three in a day ... last October I had to stay up two nights in a row with no sleep in between; over the course of the second night I had two and could not finish the second one ... I swear I could taste the caffeine.
And I'm sorry about your hand ... classic case of veteran-goat-milker meets trucker-who-looks-like-football-player, I guess. O:-) Hey, it's a cruel world out there ... crush or be crushed ;-)
You weren't the only one who cried, Ron. :) Abigail cried after you left. :( I didn't cry, but felt like it and almost broke down when I decided to go hug everyone after curtain call. I'm glad I didn't see you cry or I for sure would have, I tend to cry when I see others cry. :)
Miss you and see you soon!
Scottie, I'm glad you survived the Java Monsters back in October. :)
PS What did you do to his hand, Scottie?
Rob, That's part of the life at the theatre. It was even worse when we had shows running for six weeks. You literally became family and then the show was over.
Vicki (Sooey's mom)
After you told me goodbye I had to run down stairs and catch my make-up. It did make an easier job of washing it off later on.:D The funny thing is that I had known that would happen weeks before. "When this is all over and Ron is gone I am going to ball my eyes out!" At least we still have the Cast party!:)
This picture ought to cheer you up. :) http://picasaweb.google.com/

PS What did you do to his hand, Scottie?
I shook it ... that's all O:-)
Might've gripped it a little harder than he was expecting though. . . .
Awesome photo...!!!!!Scottie did not “hurt” my hand just funny to pick on Scottie… He is a nice guy…. Well except the whole trying to kill me with Java Monster… LOL!!!! We have the cast party then a party at my house then a swimming party in the summer and then a party at your house… LOL what is the next play you are all doing???
We probably won't be in any more plays.:( It's too hard with the schedule, being out late, gone all the time, etc. I'm trying to finish school asap and theatre stuff doesn't help much. ...and when school is done I'm going to make movies and when movies are done I'm going to get married and when marriage is done I guess I'll just go to heaven.:D
